In the world of spirits, competition is fierce. Patrón Tequila aimed to boost its sales in Canada and become the go-to brand against its main competitor, Don Julio. The goal was crystal clear: become the #1 brand in the country.
Strategy & Solution
M5 Agency and its partners crafted a national strategy to increase brand awareness and outpace the competition.
We executed a four-week Canadian tour covering: Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
The creative concept: “Playa del Patrón”, an immersive event inspired by Tulum, Mexico.
We delivered a full experience including:
Gourmet brunch featuring a Mexican chef.
Festive evening with a renowned DJ.
A VIP Wednesday for bar owners, buyers, and influencers.
A Thursday to Sunday program open to the public.
Additionally, a large-scale social media, influencer relations, and promotional content strategy was deployed.
Results
Thanks to this integrated activation:
Patrón's shelves were emptied in every city visited.
Sales increased by 400% for over six months.
